Ordinance
to
amend
the
Comprehensive
Zoning
Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County and the City Council
of Augusta
effective November 15, 1983, entitled "An Ordinance to
Readopt
and
Reconfirm
the
Comprehensive
Zoning
Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by the Board of
Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council
of Augusta, together with all amendments which have
been approved by either the Board of Commissioners. of
Richmond County or the City Council of Augusta as
authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the
Consti tution of the State of Georgia 11 by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-1A (One-family
Residence)
to
Zone
B-1
(Neighborhood
Business)
affecting property located on the southwest corner of
the intersection of Washington Road and Lakewood Drive
Extension; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict
herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of
November, 1983, the caption of which is'set out above, is amended
by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-1A (One-
family Residence) to Zone B-1 (Neighborhood Business) affecting
property as follows:
Beginning at a point located on the southwest corner of
the intersection of Washington Road and Lakewood Drive
Extension; thence, in. a southerly direction along the
southwest right-of-way line of Washington Road a
distance of 100.0 feet to a point; thence, in a
westerly direction a distance of 232.0 feet to a point
located on the east right~of-way line of Lakewood Drive
Extension; thence, in a northerly direction along the
east right -of -way I ine of Lakewood Drive Extension a
distance of 100.2 fe~t to a point located on the south
right-of-way line of Lakewood Drive Extension; thence,
in an easterly direction along the south right -of -way
line of Lakewood Drive Extension a distance of 242.0
feet to the point of beginning. This property contains
.54 acres and is known under the present numbering
system as 2332-34 Washington Road. .

All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
