HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 6208 LUMPKIN ROAD Augusta Richmond GA DOCUMENT NAME: Q- \C\qq - ~dO~ DOCUMENT TYPE: D'(0\Do.nCes YEAR: <1q BOX NUMBER: O(s' FILE NUMBER: \ l\l\d~ NUMBER OF PAGES: o? , " r' ORDINANCE NO. 6208 An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta effective November 15, 1983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt and Reconfirm the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta, together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County or the City Council of Augusta as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Consti tution of the State of Georgia" by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-IA (One-family Residence) to Zone B-1 (Neighborhood Business) affecting property located on the northwest corner of the intersection of Lumpkin Road and Fleming Drive; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-IA (One- family Residence) to Zone B-1 (Neighborhood Business) affecting property as follows: Beginning at a point located on the northwest corner of the intersection of Lumpkin Road and Fleming Drive; thence, in a westerly direction along the north right- of-way line of Lumpkin Road a distance of 165.0 feet to a point; thence, in a northerly direction a distance of 83.5 feet to a point; thence, in an easterly direction a distance of 165.0 feet to a point located on the west right-of-way line of Fleming Drive; thence, in a southerly direction along the west right-of-way line of Fleming Drive a distance of 84.5 feet to the point of beginning. This property contains .32 acres and is known under the present numbering system as 2819 Fleming Drive. ~ ,; SECTION II. That this amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Map is subject to the following stipulation: That the rear yard provisions of the Augusta Tree Ordinance be applied to the north property line subject to the variance granted by the Augusta Tree Commission on August 16, 199. SECTION I I I. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Done in Open Meeting under the Common Seal thereof this 19th day of October , 1999.
