An
Ordinance
to
amend
the
Comprehensive
Zoning
Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County, and the City Council of Augusta
effective November IS, '1983, entitled "An Ordinance to
Readopt
and
Reconfirm
the
Comprehensive
Zoning
Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by the Board of
Commissioners of Rich~ond County and 'the C~ty Council
of Augusta, together with all amendments which have
\
been approved' by either the Board. of Commissioners of
Richmond County or the City Council of Augusta as
authorized under the Home Rule provisions of the
Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture) to
Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property located
on the northwest right-of-way line of Peach Orchard
Road,
815 feet,
more or less,
southwest of the,
southwest corner' of the intersection of Tobacco Road
and Peach Orchard Road;
and for the repeal of
ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of
November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by 'changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture)
to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property as follows:
Beginning at a point located on the northwest right-of-
way line of Peach Orchard Road, 815 feet, more or less,
southwest of the southwest corner of the intersection
of Tobacco Road and Peach Orchard Road; thence, in a
southwesterly direction along the northwest .right-of-
way line 6f Peach Orchard Road a distance of 246- feet
to a point; thence, in a northwesterly direction a
distance of 540..0 feet to a point; thence, in a
northeasterly directibn.a distance of 325 feet, more or
less, to a point; thence, in an easterly direction a
distance of 270.76 feet ,to a point; thence, in a
southwesterly direction a distance of 140 feet, more or
less, to a point; thence, in a southeasterly direction
a distance of 185.0 feet to the point of beginning.
This property contains. 3.58 acres and is known under
the present numbering system as 3623 Peach Orchard
Road.

SECTION II.
All Ordi'nances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
