ORDINANCE NO. 6159
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ARTICLE 3 SECTION 2-2-20 OF THE AUGUSTA-
RICHMOND COUNTY CODE TO INCREASE INSURER LICENSE FEES PURSUANT TO
O.C.G.A. SECTION 33-8-8; TO PROVIDE AN EFFECTIVE DATE; TO REPEAL
CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION,
AND IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED BY AUTHORITY OF THE SAME AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.
Augusta-Richmond County Code Section 2-2-20
is hereby deleted in its entirety and the following substituted
therefor, to-wit:
~ 2-2-20. INSURER LICENSE FEES.
There is hereby levied an annual license fee upon each
insurer doing business within Augusta-Richmond County (other
than within the unincorporated limits of the City of
Hephzibah and the Town of Blythe) in the amount of one
hundred fifty dollars ($150.00), and an additional annual
license fee in the same amount for each separate business
location in excess of one operated and maintained by such
company within Augusta-Richmond County (other than within
the unincorporated limits of the City of Hephzibah and the
Town of Blythe) .
Section 2.
This Ordinance shall become effective upon
adoption and submission to the Georgia Insurance Commissioner as
required by law.
Section 3.
All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in
conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
