ORDINANCE NO. 6155
An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance
adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and
the City Council of Augusta effective November 15, 1983, entitled
"An Ordinance to Readopt and Reconfirm the Comprehensive
Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by the Board of
Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council of
Augusta, together with all amendments which have been approved
by either the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County or the
City Council of Augusta as authorized under the Home Rule
Provisions of the Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing
the Comprehensive Zoning map from Zone R-l (One-family
Residence) to Zone R-IA (One-family Residence) affecting
property located on the southeast corner of the intersection of Old
Waynesboro Road and Taylor Road; and for the repeal of
ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of
Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the
caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive
Zoning Map from Zone R-l (One-family Residence) to Zone R-IA (One-family
Residence) affecting property as follows:
Beginning at a point located on the southeast corner of the
intersection of Old Waynesboro Road and Taylor Road; thence, in
a southeasterly direction along the southwest right-of-way line of
Taylor Road a distance of 1398 feet, more or less, to a point;
thence, S 24044'46" W a distance of 187.12 feet to a point; thence,
S 66045'14" E a distance of 178.85 feet to a point; thence, S
24044'46" W a distance of 945.00 feet to a point; thence, S
75014'46" W a distance of 404.00 feet to a point; thence, N
61045'14" W a distance of 1,359.42 feet to a point located on the
southeast right-of-way line of Old Waynesboro Road; thence, in a
northeasterly direction along the southeast right-of-way line of Old
Waynesboro Road a distance of 1,287 feet to the point of
beginning. This property contains approximately 48.62 acres.

SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances ill conflict with this
Ordinance are hereby repealed.
