An Ordinance
to
amend
the
Comprehensive
Zoning
Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta
effective November 15, 1983, entitled "An Ordinance to
Readopt
and
Reconfirm
the
Comprehensive
Zoning
Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by the Board of
Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council
of Augusta, together with all amendments which have
been approved by either the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County or the City Council of Augusta as
authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the
Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture) to
Zone LI (Light Industry) affecting property located on
the south right-of-way line of Tobacco Road, 803 feet,
more or less, west of the southwest corner of the
intersection of the Central of Georgia Railroad line
and Tobacco Road; and for the repeal of ordinances in
conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of
November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture)
to Zone LI (Light Industry) affecting property as follows:
Beginning at a point located on the south right-of-way of Tobacco Road,
803 feet, more or less, west of the southwest comer of the intersection of
the Central of Georgia Railroad line and Tobacco Road; thence, S
14017'56" E a distance of 622.11 feet to a point; thence, N 76006'40" E a
distance of 685 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southeasterly
direction a distance of 370 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in an
easterly direction a distance of 290 feet, more or le~s, to. a poin~ located on
the southwest right-of-way of the Central of Georgia Rat lroad lIne; thence,
S 27002'04" E a distance of 760 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, S
76006'40" W a distance of 2250.66 feet to a point; thence, N 13053'20" W
a distance of 1028.40 feet to a point; thence, N 76006'40" E a distance of
995 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, N 14017'56" W a distance of
622.31 feet to a point located on the south right-of-way line of Tobacco
Road' thence N 75053'21" E along the south right-of-way line of Tobacco
Road' a dista;1ce of 60.00 feet to the point of beginning. This property
contains approximately 49 acres.

All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
