Ordinance
to
amend
the
Comprehensive
Zoning
Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta
effective November IS, 1983, entitled "An Ordinance to
Readopt
and
Reconfirm
the
Comprehensive
Zoning
Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by the Board of
Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council
of Augusta, together with all amendments which have
been approved by either the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County or the City Council of Augusta as
authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the
Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the
Comprehensi ve Zoning Map from Zone P-l (Professional)
to Zone B-1 (Neighborhood Business) affecting property
located on the northeast right -of -way line of Central
Avenue, 100.0 feet east of the northeast corner of the
intersection of Heard Avenue and Central Avenue; and
for the repeal of ordinances in confl ict herewi th and
for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of
November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by
changing
the
Comprehensive
Zoning
Map
from
Zone
P-1
(Professional)
to Zone B-1
(Neighborhood Business) affecting
property as follows:
Begilming at a point located on the northeast right-o~-way li~e of Central
A 100 0 feet east of the northeast comer of the Illtersectlon of Heard

Avenue and Central Avenue; thence, in a northerly direction ~ IS ance 0
150.0 feet to a point located on the southwest right-of-way h~e of Heard
Lane; thence, in a southeasterly direction along the southwes~ nght-of-way
line of Heard Lane a distance of 50.0 feet to a point; thence, III a sout~erly
direction a distance of 150.0 feet to a point located on t~e n~rtheast nght-
of-way line of Central Avenue; thence, in a westerly direction along the
northeast right-of-way line of Central A venue a distance of.50.0 feet to the
point of beginning. This property contains .17 acres and IS known under
the present numbering system as 2045 Central Avenue.

is subject to the following stipulation:
That this amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Map
SECTION II.
That this property be used as a beauty shop or those
uses allowed in a P-1 (Professional) zone.
SECTION III.
All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
