An Ordinance - to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance
adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and
the City Council of Augusta effective November 15, 1983,
entitled
"An
Ordinance
to
Readopt
and
Reconfirm
the
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council
of Augusta, together with all amendments which have been
"approved by ei ther the Board of Commissioners of Richmond
County or the City Council of Augusta as authorized under the
Home Rule Provisions of the Constituti.on of the State of
Georgia" by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-
IB (One-family Residence) and Zone B-2 (General Business) to
Zone LI (Light Industry) affecting property located on the
northeast right-of-way line of Barton Chapel Road, 183 feet,
more or less,
north of the northeast corner of the
intersection of Sharon Road and Barton Chapel Road; and for
the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other
purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board
of Commissioners of Richmond County on the l:;th day of November, 1983,
the caption of which is set. out above, is amended by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-IB (One-family Residence) and Zone
B-2 (General Business) to Zone LI (Light Industry) affecting property as
follows:

Beginning at a point located on the northeast right-of-way line of Barton
Chapel Road, 183 feet, more or less, north of the northeast corner of the
intersection of Sharon Road and Barton Chapel Road; thence, in a
northerly direction along the east right-of-way line of Barton Chapel Road
a distance of391.39 feet to a point; thence, S 81030'00" E a distance of
1,085.19 feet to a point; thence, S 43015'40" E a distance of 484.35 feet to
a point; thence, in a westerly direction a distance of 1278 feet, more or
less, to the point of beginning. This property.contains 8.87 acres and is
known under the present numbering system as 1632 & 1640 Barton
Chapel Road.

this amendment to the Comprehensive 'Zoniing Map is

1) That the petitioner shall construct a six (6) foot solid
wood or slatted chain-link fence in addition to
conformance with the Tree Ordinance on the entire
southern property line; and
2) That the future development of this property shall
substantially conform to the Site Plan submitted.
SECTION III.
All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with
this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
