Ordinance
to
amend
the
Comprehensive
Zoning
Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta
effective November 15, 1983, entitled "An Ordinance to
Readopt
and
Reconfirm
the
Comprehensive
Zoning
Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by the Board of
Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council

of Augusta, together with all amendments which have
been approved by either the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County or the City Council of Augusta as
authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the
Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning 'Map from Zone R-1C (One-family
or;:
Residence) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting
property located on the southwest right-of-way line of
Holloway Drive, 235 feet, more or less, northwest of
the intersection of the northwest right-of-way line of
Gordon Highway and the southwest right-of-way line of
Holloway Drive; and for the repeal of ordinances in
conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of
November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-1C (One-
family Residence)
to Zone B-2
(General Business)
affecting
property as follows:
Beginning at a point located on the southwest right-of-
way line of Holloway Drive, 235 feet, more or less,
northwest of the intersection of the northwest right-
of-way line of Gordon Highway and the southwest right-
of-way line of Holloway Drive; thence, in a
southwesterly direction a distance of 150.0 feet to a
point; thence, in a northwesterly direction a distance
of 50.0 feet to a point; thence, in a northeasterly
direction a distance of 150.0 feet to a point located
on the southwest right-of-way line of Holloway Drive;
thence, in a southeasterly direction along the
southwest right-of-way line of Holloway Drive a
distance of 50.0 feet to the point of beginning. This
property contains .17 acres and is known under the
present numbering system as 214 Holloway Drive.

SECTION I I .
That this amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Map
is subject to the following stipulation:
That the only business on this property shall be the
sale of burial vaults and grave markers, and if this
use ceases then the zoning shall revert to R-1C (One-
family Residence) .
SECTION I I I.
All Ordinances .or parts of Ordinances in conflict
with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
