An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance
adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County
and the City Council of Augusta effective November 15,
1983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt and Reconfirm the
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963 I by
the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the
City Council of Augusta, together with all amendments
which have been approved by either the Board of
Commissioners of Richmond County or the City Council of
Augusta as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of
the Consti tutionof the State of Georgia" by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone LI (Light Industry) to
Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property located at
the intersection of Seventh Street and Reynolds Street;
and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and
for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of
November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone LI '(Light
Industry) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property as
follows:
TRACT A
Beginning at a point located at the intersection of
Seventh Street and Reynolds Street; thence, east along
Reynolds Street to the Gordon Highway (US 78 and US 278) ,
thence, north along the Gordon Highway to the centerline
of the Savannah River; thence, west along the centerline
of the Savannah River to a point where the centerline of
Seventh Street extended would intersect the centerline of
the Savannah River; thence, south along Seventh Street to
the point of origin.
TRACT B
Beginning at a point located at the intersection of
Thirteenth Street and Tatnall Street; thence, east along
Tatnall Street a distance of approximately 1637 feet to
a point; thence, north a distance of approximately 260
feet to a point;' thence; east along the Augusta levee a
distance of approximat~ly 959 feet to a point;/thence,
south a distance of 50 feet to a point; thence, east a
distance of 25 feet to a point; thence, north to the
centerline of the Savannah River; thence, west along the
centerline of the Savannah River to Thirteenth Street;
thence, south along Thirteenth Street to the point of origin.

SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with
this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
