An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance
adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County
and the City Council of Augusta effective November 15,
1983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt and Reconfirm the
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by
the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the
City Council of Augusta, together with all amendments
which have been approved by either the Board of
'Commissioners of Richmond County or the City Council of
Augusta as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of
the Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-1 (One-family
Residence) and Zone R-IA (One-family Residence) to Zone
R-IC (One-family Residence) affecting property located on
the southwest right-of-way line of Lawrence Road, 185
feet, more or less, northwest of the southwest qorner of
the intersection of Markwalter Road and Lawrence Road;
and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and
for other purposes:

THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of
November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, lS amended
by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-1 (One-family
Residence) and Zone R-1A (One-family Residence) to Zone R-IC (One-
family Residence) affecting property as follows:
Beginning at a point located on the southwest right-of-
way line of Lawrence Road, 185 feet, more or less,
northwest of the ~outhwest corner of the intersection of
Markwalter Road and Lawrence Road; thence, S 32051'06" W
a distance of 351.25 feet to a point; thence, in a
westerly direction a distance of 819.15 feet to a ~oint;,
thence, in a northerly direction a distance of 39~03 feet
to a point; thence, S 65046'17" W a distance of 250.51
feet to a point; thence, N 01051'35" W a distance of
649.74 feet to a pointj thence, S 85008'47" E a distance
of 601.17 feet to a point; thence, N 76018'12" E a
distance of 131.47 feet to a point; thence, N 82054'56"
E a distance of 73.40 feet to a point; thence, N
69007'18" E a distance of 186.33 feet to a point located
on the southwest right-of-way line of Lawrence Road;

thence, in a southeasterly direction along the southwest
right-of-way line of Lawrence Road a distance of 391.31
feet to the point of beginning. This property contains
12.38 acres.
SECTION II. That this amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Map is
subject to the following stipulation:
That the petitioner shall comply with the Development
Plan that has been submitted to the Planning Commission.
SECTION III.
All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
