An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance
adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County
and the City Council of Augusta effective November 15,
1983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt and Reconfirm the
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25" 1963, by
the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the
City Council of Augusta, together with all amendments
which have been approved by either the Board of
Commissioners of Richmond County or the City Council of
Augusta as authorized under the Home Rule provisions of
the Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone HI (Heavy Industry) to
Zone R-l
(One-family Residence) affecting property
located on the northeast right-of-way line of Sand Bar
Ferry Road, 1,100 feet, more or less, northwest of a
point where the southwest right -of -way I ine of Riverfront
( ..
Drive intersects the northeast right-of-way line of Sand !
Bar Ferry Road; and for the repeal of ordinances in
conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of
November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone HI (Heavy
Industry) to Zone R-1 (One-family Residence) affecting property as
follows:
Beginning at a point located on the northeast right-of-
way line of Sand Bar Ferry Road, 1,100 feet, more or
less, northwest of a point where the southwest right-of-
way line of Riverfront Drive intersects the northeast
right-of-way line of Sand Bar Ferry Road; thence, in a
northwesterly direction along the northeast right-of-way
line of Sand Bar Ferry Road a distance of 390 feet, more
or less, to a point; thence, N 47027'35" E a distance of
366.60 feet to a point; thence, S 24046'44" E a distance
of 357.84 feet to a point; thence, S 33025'32" W a
distance of 161.94 feet to the point of beginning. This
property contains 1.94 acres and is known under the
present numbering system as 745 Sand Bar Ferry Road.

SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with
this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
