An Ordinance to amend the comprehensive Zoning Ordinance

adopted by the Board bf commissioners of Richmond County
and the city council of Augusta effective November 15,
1983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt and Reconfirm the
comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by
the Board of Commissioners 'of Richmond Coun~y and the
city Council of Augusta, together with all amendments
which have been approved by either the Boatd of
commissioners of Richmond County or the City Council of
Augusta as authorized under the Home Rule provisions of
the Constitution of the state of Georgia" by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone LI (Light Industry) to
Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property located on
the southeast corner of the intersection of 15th street
and Greene street; and for the repeal of ordinances in
conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of
November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone LI (Light
Industry) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property as
follows:
Beginning at a point located on the southeast corner of
the intersection of 15th Street and Greene Street;
thence, in an easterly direction 'along the southwest
right-of-way line of Greene street a distance of 990.84
feet to a point located on the southwest corner of the
intersection of Cottage Street and Greene Street; thence,
S 23001'06" W along the northwest right-of-way line of
Cottage Street a distance of 572.79 feet to a point
located on the north right~of-way line of the John C.
Calhoun Expressway; thence, in a westerly direction along
the north right-of-way line of the John C. Calhoun
Expressway a distance of 348.45 feet to a point located
on the northeast right-of-way of the 1st Level of the
Augusta Canal; thence, in a northwesterly direction along
the northeast right-of-way of the 1st Level of the
Augusta Canal a distance of 830.5 feet to a point located
on the southeast right-of-way line of 15th Street;
thence, N 22024'58" E along the southeast right-of-way
line of 15th street a distance of 134.60 feet to the
point of beginning. This property contains 9.25 acres
and is known under the present numbering system as 1450
Greene Street.

SECTION II. All Ordinanc~s or parts of Ordinances in conflict with
this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
