An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance
adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County
and the City Council of Augusta effective November 15,
1983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt and Reconfirm the
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by
the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the
City Council of Augusta, together with all amendments
which have been approved by either the Board of
Commissioners of Richmond County or the City Council of
Augusta as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of
the Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R -3A (Multiple - family
Residential) to Zone R -3B (Multiple- family Residential)
affecting property located on the east right -of -way line
of Alexander Drive, 212 feet, more or less, north of a
point where the centerline of Commons Trace extended
intersects the east right -of -way line of Alexander Drive;
and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and
for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA - RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of
November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R -3A (Multiple -
family Residential) to Zone R -3B (Multiple- family Residential)
affecting property as follows:
Beginning at a point located on the east right -of -way
line of Alexander Drive, 212 feet, more or less, north of
a point where the centerline of Commons Trace extended
intersects the east right -of -way line of Alexander Drive;
thence, in a northerly direction along the east right -of-
way line of Alexander Drive a distance of 438 feet, more

of 281.00 feet to a point; thence, in a westerly
direction a distance of 230.17 feet to a point; thence,
N 74 0 04'20" W a distance of 175.30 feet to a point;
thence, S 15 0 55'40" W a distance of 181.00 feet to a
point; thence, N 74 0 04 1 20 11 W a distance of 142.50 feet to
a point; thence, N 15 0 32 1 50" E a distance of 105.95 feet
to a point; thence, N 16 °10'10" E a distance of 499.80
feet to a point; thence, N 16 0 20 1 10" E a distance of
78.03 feet to a point; thence, N 73 0 25 1 10" W a distance
of 263.90 feet to the point of beginning. This property
contains approximately 15 acres.
SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with
this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
