ORDINANCE NO. 60 1 ~
An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance
adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County
and the City Council of Augusta effective November 15,
1983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt and Reconfirm the
Comprehens i ve Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by
the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the
city Council of Augusta, together with all amendments
'which have been approved by either the Board of
Commissioners of Richmond County or the City Council of
.~ugusta as authorized under the Home Rule provisions of
.the Constitution of the state of Georgia" by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-1A (One-family
:Residence) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting
property located where the southeast right-of-way line of
Interstate 20 intersects the south right-of-way of the
i\tlantic Coast Line Railroad line; and for the repeal of
ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of
November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-1A (One-family
Residence) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property as
follmis:
Beginning at a point located where the southeast right-
of-way line of Interstate 20 intersects the south right-
of-way of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad line; thence,
in an easterly direction along the south right-of-way of
1:he Atlantic Coast Line Railroad line a distance of 1105
j~eet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a
s:outhwesterly direction a distance of 525 feet, more or
less, to a point; I thence, in a westerly direction a
distance of 457 feet, more or less, to a point; thence,
S 23027'45" W a distance of 479.34 feet to a point;
t:hence, N 66032'15" W a distance of 257.06 feet to a
point located on the north right-of-way line of Bertram
Road Extension (Dead End); thence, in a westerly
direction along the north right-of-way line of Bertram
Road Extension (Dead End) a distance of 80.0 feet to a
point; thence, N 64047'05" W a distance of 806.55 feet to
a point located on the southeast right-of-way line of
Interstate 20; thence, in a northeasterly direction along
t:he southeast right-of-way line of Interstate 20 a
distance of 940 feet, more or less, to the point of
beginning. This property contains approximately 21.41 acres.

SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with
this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
