AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTIONS 2-3-6 AND 2-3-7
OF THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY CODE REGARDING
THE DATES FOR CONSIDERATION AND ADOPTION OF
THE BUDGET; TO PROVIDE AN EFFECTIVE DATE; TO
REPEAL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION

AND I'l' IS HEREBY ORDAINED BY THE AUTHORITY OF SAME AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Augusta-Richmond County Code, Title 2,
Section 2-3-6, to wit:
~ 2-3-6. ADOPTION OF BUDGET BY COMMISSION.
The budget shall be finally adopted by
the Commission at or before the adjournment of
their second regular meeting for the month of
February, which shall be a public meeting; and
upon adoption it shall relate back to the
first of the year and shall cover the full
fiscal year. The meeting shall be advertised
in accordance with the procedures set forth in
~ 2-3-5 at least one (1) week prior to the
meeting.
A copy of the budget as finally
adopted shall be certified by the Finance
Committee and shall be filed in the office of
the county administrator and in the office of

the budget officer. The budget so certified
shall be printed, mimeographed or otherwise
reproduced and sufficient copies thereof shall
be made available for the use of all officers,
department and agency heads, and for the use
of the public.

therefor:

conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
