An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance
adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County
and the City Council of Augusta effective November 15,
19B3, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt and Reconfirm the
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by
thE~ Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the
ci t:y Council of Augusta, together with all amendments
whi.ch have been approved by either the Board of
Con~issioners of Richmond County or the City Council of
Aug'usta as authorized under the Home Rule provisions of
the Constitution of the state of Georgia" by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture) to
Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property located on
the northwest right-of-way line of Gordon Highway, 1,020
feet, more or less, southwest of a point where the
southwest right-of-way line of Newmantown Road intersects
the northwest right-of-way line of Gordon Highway; and
for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for
oth,er purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION:E. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of
November" 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture)
to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property as follows:
Beginning at a point located on the northwest right-of-
way line of Gordon Highway, 1,020 feet, more or less,
sout:hwest of a point where the southwest right-of-way
linE! of Newmantown Road intersects the northwest right-
of -\I ray line of Gordon Highway; thence, S 56021'55" W
along the northwest right-of-way line of Gordon Highway
a distance of 1,614.80 feet to a point; thence, N
2205,3'07" W a distance of 96.40 feet to a point located
on 1:he southeast right-of-way of the Georgia Railroad
line,; thence, H 53053' 31" E along the southeast right-of-
way of the Georgia Railroad line a distance of 1,604.13
feet to a point; thence, S 31036'05" E a distance of
164.04 feet to the point of beginning. This property
contains 4.77 acres.

SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with
this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
