HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 6054 MIKE PADGETT HIGHWAY DOCUMENT NN.1E: Augusta Richmond GA Ovolirorce Lo054 DOCUMENT TYPE: 0 vd i YY1fT.e :J 13'12-3 2- YEAR: J Of q' r BOX NUMBER: FILE NUMBER: NUMBER OF PAGES: -.... ~ ;" ORDINANCE NO. htJsy An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta effective November 15, 19~:3, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt and Reconfirm the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by thE~ Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta, together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Board of Corrmissioners of Richmond County or the City Council of Augusta as authorized under the Home Rule provisions of the Constitution of the state of Georgia" by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture) and Zone HI (Heavy Industry) to Zone A (Agriculture) affecting property located on the northeast right-of-way line of Mike Padgett Highway, 352 feet, more or less, northwest of the northeast corner of the intersection of DOUl;J Barnard Parkway and Mike Padgett Highway; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for oth'~r purposes: THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November" 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture) and Zone HI (Heavy Industry) to Zone A (Agriculture) affecting property as follows: Beginning at a point located on the northeast right-of- way line of Mike Padgett Highway, 352 feet, more or less, northwest of the northeast corner of the intersection of DOU9 Barnard Parkway and Mike Padgett Highway; thence, in a northwesterly direction along the northeast right-of- way line of Mike Padgett Highway a distance of 723 feet, more: or less, to a point; thence, in a northeasterly direction a distance of 450 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northwesterly direction a distance of 187 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northeasterly direction a distance of 394 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southeasterly direction a distance of 950 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southwesterly direction a distance of 840 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. This property contains 16.22 acres and is known under the present numbering system as 4172 Padgett Highway. /~ .. ~ SECTION II. That this amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Map is subject to the following stipulation: That there shall be no additional residential use of this property. SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Done in Open day of l~~ ~/~~ Meeting under the Common Seal thereof this I~ , 1998.
