An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance
adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County
and the City Council of Augusta effective November 15,
19B3, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt and Reconfirm the
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by
thE~ Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the
Ci1:y Council of Augusta, together with all amendments
which have been approved by either the Board of
Con~issioners of Richmond County or the city Council of
AU9usta as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of
thE! Constitution of the state of Georgia" by changing the
comprehensiye Zoning Map from Zone R-1C (One-family
Res:idence) and Zone R-2 (Two-family Residence) to Zone R-
IE (One-family Residence) affecting property located on
the northeast corner of the intersection of Wilson street
and Wrightsboro Road; and for the repeal of ordinances in
conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board 01: commissioner;; of Richmond County on the 15th day of
November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-IC (One-family
Residenc'e) and Zone R-2 (Two-family Residence) to Zone R-1E (One-
family Rtesidence) affecting property as follows:
Beginning at a point located on the northeast corner of
the intersection of Wilson Street and Wrightsboro Road;
thence, in a northerly direction along the east right-of-
way line of Wilson Street a distance of 306.1 feet to a
point located on the southeast corner of the intersection
of Verdery Street and Wilson Street; thence, in an
easterly direction along the south right-of-way line of
Verdery St+,eet a distance of 116.7 feet to a point;
thence, in a southerly direction a distance of 150.0 feet
to a point; thence, in an easterly direction a distance
of 50.0 feet to a point; thence, in a southerly direction
a distance of 150.0 feet to a point located on the north
right-of-way line of Wrightsboro Road; thence, in a
westerly direction along the north right-of-way line of
Wri9htsboro Road a distance of 97.0 feet to the point of
beginning. This property contains .74 acres.

SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with
this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
