Of ORDINANCE NO.?~q-3 An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta effective November 15, 1983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt and Reconfirm the Comprehens i ve Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta, together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County or the City Council of Augusta as authorized under the Home Rule provisions of the Constitution of the state of Georgia" by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-1A (One-family Residence) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property located on the northwest right-of-way line of George Road, 510 feet north of the northwest corner of the intersection of Busbia Avenue and George Road; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE P..UGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Boarol of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-1A (One-family Residence) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property as follows: Beginning at a point located on the northwest right-of- way line of George Road, 510 feet north of the northwest corner of the intersection of Busbia Avenue and George Road; thence, in a westerly direction a distance of 279.4 feet to a point; thence, in a northerly direction a distance of 214.0 feet to a point; thence, in an easterly direction a distance of 279.4 feet to a point located on the northwest right-of-way line of George Road; thence, in a southerly direction along the northwest right-of-way line of George Road a distance of 214.0 feet to the point of beginning. This property contains 1. 37 acres and is known under the present numbering system as 1927 George Road. . . ;,' . SECTION II. That this amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Map is subject to the following stipulation: 1) The only use of the property other than those uses permitted in the R-1A zone shall be an electrical contractor's business; 2) There shall be no additional buildings built on the property; 3) There shall be no signage; and 4) The hours of operation shall be limited to the period between 7 A.M. and 9:00 P.M. SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed. day (If ~7 7}?i- , 1998.
