An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance
iidopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County
iind the City Council of Augusta effective November 15,
1983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt and Reconfirm the
Comprehensi ve Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by
1:he Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the
City Council of Augusta, together with all amendments
l~hich have been approved by either the Board of
Commissioners of Richmond County or the City Council of
1~ugusta as authorized under the Home Rule provisions of
1:he Constitution of the state of Georgia" by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-1A (One-family
l~esidence) and Zone B-2 (General Business) to Zone B-1
I(Neighborhood Business) affecting property located on the
f;outhwest right-of-way line of Lovett Drive, 600.00 feet
\Iest of the southwest corner of the intersection of Peach
Orchard Road and Lovett Drive; and for the repeal of
c)rdinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTI()N I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond county on the 15th day of
November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-1A (One-family
ResidEmce)
and Zone B-2
(General Business)
to Zone B-1
(Neighborhood Business) affecting property as follows:
Beginning at a point located on the southwest right-of-
\1,ay line of Lovett Drive, 600.00 feet west of the
Elouthwest corner of the intersection of Peach Orchard
F~oad and Lovett Drive; thence, in a southerly direction
cl distance of 159.86 feet to a point; thence, in a
"resterly direction a distance of 120.89 feet to a point;
thence, in a northerly direction a distance of 160.08
feet to a point located on the southwest right-of-way
line of Lovett Drive; thence, in an easterly direction
a,long the southwest right-of-way line of Lovett Drive a
c51istance of 119.63 feet to the point of beginning. This
property contains .43 acres and is known under the
present numbering system as 2112 Lovett Drive.
