.~n Ordinance to amend the comprehensive Zoning Ordinance
,adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County
,and the City council of Augusta effective November 15,
1983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt and Reconfirm the
Comprehensi ve Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by
'the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the
City Council of Augusta, together with all amendments
,~hich have been approved by either the Board of
commissioners of Richmond County or the city Council of
~~ugusta as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of
fche Constitution of the state of Georgia" by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-1A (One-family
]~esidence) and Zone B-1 (Neighborhood Business) to Zone
]~-3B (Multiple-family Residential) affecting property
located on the east right-of-way line of Bertram Road,
a20 feet, more or less, north of a point where the
c::enterline of Center West Parkway extended intersects the
faast right-of-way line of Bertram Road; and for the
repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other
purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of
November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by chclnging the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-1A (One-family
ResidEmce) and Zone B-1 (Neighborhood Business) to Zone R-3B
(Multiple-family Residential) affecting property as follows:
Beginning at a point located on the east right-of-way
line of Bertram Road, 820 feet, more or less, north of a
];)oint where the centerline of Center West Parkway
E!xtended intersects the east right-of-way line of Bertram
Road; thence, N 12044'37" E along the east right-of-way
line of Bertram Road a distance of 200.09 feet to a
point; thence, S 77054'18" E a distance of 488.86 feet to
a point; thence, S 77058'57" E a distance of 318.75 feet
t:o a point; thence, in a southwesterly direction a
distance of 442.76 feet to a point; thence, N 82011'41"
lIr a distance of 232.67 feet to a point; thence, N
10044'32" E a distance of 293.00 feet to a point; thence,
N 82032'14" W a distance of 496.53 feet to the point of
beginning. This property contains 4.84 acres.

SECTION II . All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with
this ()rdinance are hereby repealed.
