J~n Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance
cldopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County
cLnd the City Council of Augusta effective November 15,
3.983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt and Reconfirm the
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by
the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the
City Council of Augusta, together with all amendments
which have been approved by either the Board of
commissioners of Richmond County or the City Council of
~~gusta as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of
the Constitution of the state of Georgia" by changing the
Cc)mprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture) to
Z()ne LI (Light Industry) affecting property located on
the south right-of-way line of Tobacco Road, 555 feet,
mc)re or less, west of the southwest corner of the
intersection of the Central of Georgia Railroad and
TClbacco Road; and for the repeal of ordinances in
co,nflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board c)f Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of
November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by chan~ling the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture)
to Zone LI (Light Industry) affecting property as follows:
Be~Jinning at a point located on the south right-of-way
line of Tobacco Road, 555 feet, more or less, west of the
southwest corner of the intersection of the Central of
Georgia Railroad and Tobacco Road; thence, S 27001'51" E
a d.istance of 383.12 feet to a point; thence, S 76006'40"
W a distance of 340.93 feet to a point; thence, N
14~17'56" W a distance of 371.26 feet to a point located
on the south right-of-way line of Tobacco Road; thence,
N 75042'04" E along the south right-of-way line of
Tobacco Road a distance of 256.49 feet to the point of
beg"inning. This property contains 2.55 acres.

SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with
this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
