An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance
adopted by the Board of commissioners of Richmond County
and the City council of Augusta effective November 15,
1983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt and Reconfirm the
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by
the Board of commissioners of Richmond County and the
City Council of~ugusta, together with all amendments
which have been approved by either the Board of
commissioners of Richmond county or the City Council of
Augusta as authorized under the Home Rule provisions of
the Constitution of the state of Georgia" by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone LI (Light Industry) to
Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property located on
the southwest right-of-way line of Reynolds street, 180
feet, more or less, east of the southeast corner of the
intersection of 15th street and Reynolds street; and for
the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for
other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of
November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing the comprehensive zoning Map from Zone LI (Light
Industry) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property as
follows:
Beginning at a point located on the southwest right-of-
way line of Reynolds street, 180 feet, more or less, east
of the southeast corner of the intersection of 15th
Street and Reynolds Street; th~nce, S 69005'22" E along
the southwest right-of-way line of Reynolds Street a
distance of 80.81f feet to a point; thence, S 20037'49" W
a distance of 67.91 feet to a point; thence, N 70043'07"
W a distance o~ 39.65 feet to a point; thence, S
20026'25" W a distance of 117.70 feet to a point located
on the northeast. right-of-way line of Jones Street;

thence, N 70009'43" W along the northeast r1ght-of-way
line of Jones street a distance of 39.88 feet to a point;
thence, in a nort\. herly direction a distance of 187.42
feet to the point of beginning. This property contains
. 23 acres and is ~nown under the present numbering system

as 1479 Jones Str~et and 1468 Reynolds Street.

SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with
this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
