AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 1-1-12 OF THE
AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY CODE SO AS TO GRANT
AUTHORI~Y TO CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF THE AUGUSTA~
RICHMOND COUNTY LICENSE & INSPECTION AUTHORITY
TO ISSUE CITATIONS FOR VIOLATIONS OF THE
AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY CODE; TO PROVIDE AN
EFFECTIVE DATE; TO REPEAL CONFLICTING
ORDINANCES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION
AND IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED BY THE AUTHORITY OF SAME AS FOLLOWS:
section 1. The Augusta-Richmond County Code, Title 1,
section 1-1-12, to wit:
~ 1~1-12. AUTHORIZATION OF CERTAIN EMPLOYEES
TO ISSUE CITATIONS.
Employees of the public works and
utilities departments of Augusta-Richmond
County, and employees of the Augusta-Richmond
County Planning ,and Zoning Commission, are
hereby authorized to is~ue citations to any
person violating any- provision of this Code
and/or any. ordimince of Augusta-Richmond
County which relates to drainage or soil
erosion and sediment control, subdivisions and
zoning and water and sewerage, respectively.

is hereby deleted in its entirety and the following substituted
therefor:

Employees of the public works and
utilities departments of Augusta-Richmond
County, and employees of the Augusta-Richmond
County Planning and Zoning Commission, and
employees serving as license inspectors of the
Augusta-Richmond County License & Inspection
Department are hereby authorized to issue
citations
any person violating
to
any
provision of this Code and/or any ordinance of
Augusta-Richmond Co~nty which relates to
drainage or soil erosion and sediment control,
subdivisions and zoning, water and sewerage,
and
business
licensing,
alcohol
and
respectively.
Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective upon
