An Ordinance to amend the comprehensive Zoning Ordinance
adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County
and the City Council of Augusta effective November 15,
1983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt and Reconfirm the
comprehensive zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 19,63, by
the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the
"ci ty Council of Augusta, together with all amendments
which have been approved by either the Board of
commissioners of Richmond County or the City Council of
Augusta as authorized under the Home Rule provisions of
the Constitution of the state of Georgia" by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture) to
Zone P-1 (Professional) affecting property located on the
northeast right-Of-way line of Tobacco Road, 1,921 feet,
more or less, west of the northwest corner of the
intersection of Morgan Road and Tobacco Road; and for the
repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other
~purposes :
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissione;rs of 'Richmond County on the 15th day of
Novemb~r, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture)
to Zone P-1 (Professional) affecting property as follows:
Beginning at a point located on the northeast right-of-
way line of Tobacco Road, 1,921 feet, more or less, west
of the northwest corner of the intersection of Morgan
Road and Tobacco Road; thence, N 56003'53" W along the
northeast right-Of-way line of Tobacco Road a distance of
174.34 feet to a point; thence, N 32013'01" ~ a distance
of 135.36 feet to a point; thence, S 66008' 21" E a
distance of 167.12 feet to a point; thence, S 29011'07"
;W a distance of 167.51 feet to the point of beginning.
This property contains .60 acres and is known under the
present numbering system as 2851 Tobacco Road.
