",--)971/ AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY CODE SECTION 7-1-90(C) (1); TO AMEND AUGUSTA- RICHMOND COUNTY CODE SECTION 7-1-97; TO PROVIDE AN EFFECTIVE DATE; TO REPEAL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION, AND IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED BY AUTHORITY OF SAME AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Augusta-Richmond County Code ~ 7-1-90 (c) (1) is hereby amended by striking said section in its entirety, and substituting in lieu thereof the following, to-wit: " (c) Amount-fee schedule. On all buildings, structures, electrical, plumbing, mechanical and gas systems or alterations requiring a permit, a fee for each permit shall be paid as required in subsection (a) of this section at the time of filing application, in accordance with the schedule below: (1) Residential. a. Single-family fee schedule. Building, per sq. ft. under roof Electrical, per house Mechanical, per house Plumbing, per house Fireplace, each Inspection fee, per house on crawl space (10 inspections at $15.00 each) Inspection fee, per house on slab (11 inspections at $15.00 each) $ 0.04 18.00 18.00 18.00 5.00 150.00 165.00 b. Single-family attached (town houses). Where lot is sold with house, fees shall be same as for single-family. c. Apartment and condominiwn dwelling uni ts permi t fees. The permit fee will be based on the construction cost using fee schedule. Fifteen dollars ($15.00) for each required inspection per dwelling unit. e. All repairs, additions, alterations will be based on cost of labor and materials, using fee schedule, plus fifteen dollars ($15.00) for each required inspection." Section 2. The Augusta-Richmond County Code ~ 7-1-97 is hereby amended by deleting said section in its entirety, and substituting in lieu thereof the following, to-wit: I. ~ ,. -.' . ' . -"). i' "~7-1-97. SAME--REQUIRED INSPECTIONS. The Director-Building Official, upon notification from the permit holder or his agent, shall make the following inspections of buildings and such other inspections as may be necessary, and shall either approve that portion of the construction or shall notify the permit holder or his agent of any violations which must be corrected in order to comply with the technical codes: Required Inspections Special Conditions Foundation: setback; footing Do not pour any concrete until inspections approved Concrete slab: building; plumbing; or block foundation Do not pour slab until inspections approved Rough: electrical; framing; mechanical; plumbing inspections approved Do not cover work until Finals: building; electrical; plumbing; mechanical Do not occupy until inspections approved Final Certificate of occupancy and final electric will not be authorized until inspections approved." Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective upon adoption. Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
