An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance
adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County
and the City Council of Augusta effective November 15,
1983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt and Reconfirm the
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by
the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the
City Council of Augusta, together with all amendments
which have been approved by either the Board of
Commissioners of Richmond County or the City Council of
Augusta as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of
the Constitution of the state of Georgia" by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture) to
Zone HI (Heavy Industry) affecting property located on
the southeast right-of-way line of Doug Barnard Parkway,
380 feet, more or less, south of a point where the
centerline of Nixon Road extended intersects the
southeast right-of-way line of Doug Barnard ParkwaYi and
for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for
o~her purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of
November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture)
to Zone HI (Heavy Industry) affecting property as follows:
Beginning at a point located on the southeast right-of-
way line of Doug Barnard Parkway, 380 feet, more or less,
south of a point where the centerline of Nixon Road
extended intersects the southeast right-of-way line of
Doug Barnard Parkway; thence, in a southeasterly
direction a distance of 1175 feet, more or less, to a
point located on the centerline of Rock Creek Tributary
#1; thence, in a southerly direction along the centerline
of ~Qcky Creek Tributary #1 a distance of 155 feet, more
or less, to a pointi thence, in a northwesterly direction
a diEtance of 1245 feet, more or less, to a point located
on the southeast right-of-way line of Doug Barnard
ParkllraYi thence, in a northerly direction along the
southeast right-of-way line of Doug Barnard Parkway a
distance of 145 feet, more or less, to the point of
beginning,. This property contains 3.21 acres and is
knO~l under the present numbering system as 1550-A Doug
Barnard Parkway.

SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with
this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
