An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance
adopted by the Board of commissioners of Richmond County
and the City Council of Augusta effective November 15,
1983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt and Reconfirm the
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by
the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the
city Council of Augusta, together with all amendments

which have been approved by either the Board of
Commissioners of Richmond County or the City Council of
Augusta as authorized under the Home Rule provisions of
the Constitution of the state of Georgia" by changing the
comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture) to
Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property located on
the northwest corner of the intersection of Mike Padgett
Highway (Ga. Route 56) and Rollins Road; and for the
repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other
purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond, County on the 15th day of
November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing the Comprehensive Zoning'Map from Zone A (Agriculture)
to Zo~e B-2 (General Business) affecting property as follows:
Beginning at a point located on the northwest corner of
the intersection of Mike Padgett Highway (Ga. Route 56)
and Rollins Road; thence, in a westerly direction along
the northeast right-of-way line of Rollins Road a
distance of 654 feet, more or less, to a point; thence,
N 34030'00" E a distance of 207 feet, more or less, to a
point; thence, S 64033'30" E a distance of 521 feet, more
or less, to a point located on the west right~of-way line
of Mike Padgett Highway; thence, S 04004'20" E along the
west right-of-way line of Mike Padgett Highway a distance
of 155.20 feet to the point of beginning. This property
contains 3.1 acres.

SECTION II. That this amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Map is
subject to the following stipulation:
That the only businesses on this property' shall be a
laundromat and car wash; and that at such time this use
shall cease, the zoning of the property shall revert to
Zone A (Agriculture).
SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
