HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 5976 HARDING RD Augusta Richmond GA DOCUMENT NAME: Q- \qC\l- ~lG DOCUMENT TYPE: C)~c}\~\\~ YEAR: C\ l BOX NUMBER: ~ FILE NUMBER: \ 5'653 NUMBER OF PAGES: a? ----- - ",.' .'"';" " --; '( '{ ,- ORDINANCE NO. ~'7'lb An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta effective November 15, 1983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt and Reconfirm the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta, together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County or the city Council of Augusta as authorized under the Home Rule provisions of the Constitution of the state of Georgia" by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-1A (One-family Residence) to Zone R-3A (Multiple-family Residential) affecting property located on the west right-of-way line of Howell Road, 225.0 feet north of the northwest corner of the intersection of Harding Road and Howell Road; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the / Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-1A (One-family Residence) to Zone R-3A (Multiple-family Residential) affecting /-,. property as follows: Beginning at'a point located on the west right-of-way line of Howell Road, 225.0 feet north of the northwest corner of the intersection of Harding Road and Howell Road; thence, in a westerly direction a distance of 245 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northeasterly direction a distance of 400 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in an easterly direction a distance of 148.5 feet to a point located on the west right-of-way line of Howell Road; thence, in a southerly direction along the west right-of-way line of Howell Road a distance of 330 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. This property contains 1.58 acres. #'. r:-. -; ; ~ ~, : SECTION II. That this amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Map is subject to the following stipulation: 1. That the water service be connected to a twelve (12) inch main on Richmond Hill Road; and 2. That the use of this property be limited to a Rehabilitation Hospital independent living center or those uses allowed in an R-1A Zone. SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Done in Open Meeting under the Common Seal thereof this /~ ~ day of ~j(l.,,~ ' , 1997.
