An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance
adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County
and the City Council of Augusta effective November 15,
1983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt and Reconfirm the
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by
the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the
City Council of Augusta, together with all amendments
which have been approved by either the Board of
commissioners of Richmond County or the City Council of
Augusta as authorized under the Home Rule provisions of
the Constitution of the state of Georgia" by changing the
comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone LI (Light Industry) to
Zone HI (Heavy Industry) with a Special Exception per
section 24-2 to allow outside storage of materials
affecti~g property located on the southwest right-of-way

line of Mike Padgett Highway, 590 feet, more or less,
southeast of a point where the centerline of Allen Road
extended intersects the southwest right-of-way line of
Mike Padgett Highway; and for the repeal of ordinances in
conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of
November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone LI (Light
Industry) to Zone HI (Heavy Industry) with a Special Exception per
section 24-2 to allow outside storage of materials affecting
property as follows:
Beginning at a point located on the southwest right-of-
way line of Mike Padgett Highway, 590 feet, more or less,
southeast of a point where the centerline of Allen Road
extended intersects the southwest right-of-way line of
Mike Padgett Highway; thence, in a southeasterly
direction along the southwest right-of-way line of Mike
Padgett Highway a distance of 678.68 feet to a point;
thence, S 51003'55" W a distance of 658.51 feet to a
point; thence, N 38057'44" Wa distance of 287.10 feet to
a point; thence, S 73048'23" W a distance of 970 feet,
more or less, to a point; thence, in a northerly
direction a distance of 1,050 feet, more or less, to a

point; thence, N 80053' 51" E a distance of 821. 03 feet to
a point; therice, S 40025'09" E a distance of 478.10 feet
to a point; thence, N 50028'08" E a distance of 300.02
feet to the point of beginning. This property contains
approximately 31 acres.
SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with
this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
