HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 5963 DAMASCUS RD Augusta Richmond GA DOCUMENT NAME: 0- \ ~~l- ~Le ~ DOcUMENTTYPE:()~()\~(1Ct: YEAR: Cf\ BOX NUMBER\)~ FILE NUMBER: \3~q5 NUMBER OF PAGES: 3 l 'J' ( ORDINANCE NO.6'9tC3J An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the City council of Augusta effective November 15, 1983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt and Reconfirm the Comprehens i ve Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta, together with all amendments which have been approyed by either the Board of commissioners of Richmond County or the City Council of Augusta as authorized under the Home Rule provisions of the Constitution of the state of Georgia" by changing the Comprehensi ve Zoning Map from Zone R-IA (One-family ,\ Residence) to Zone B-1 (Neighborhood Business) affecting property located where the southeast right-of-way line of Highland Avenue intersects with the northeast right-of- way line of Damascus Road; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-IA (One-family Residence) to Zone B-1 (Neighborhood Business) affecting property as follows: ., Beginning at a point located where the southeast right- of-way line of Highland Avenue intersects with the northeast right-of-way line of Damascus Road; thence, in a northeasterly direction along the southeast right-of- way line of Highland Avenue a distance of 150.0 feet to a point; thence, in a southeasterly direction a distance of 200.0 feet to a point; thence, in a southwesterly direction a distance of 116.75 feet to a point located on the northeast right-of-way line of Damascus Road; thence, in a northwesterly direction along the northeast right- of-way line of Damascus Road a distance of 202.0 feet to the point of beginning. This property contains .63 acres and is known under the present numbering system as 2016 Highland Avenue. i '. ,~ l SECTION II. That this amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Map is subject to the following stipulation: That the petitioner shall construct the building according to the site Plan in file. SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Done in Open Meeting under the Common Seal thereof this ~/~ day of {)U-~ , 1997.
