ORDINANCE NO. ~~9t/V An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of commissioners of Richmond County and the city Council of Augusta effective November 15, 1983, erititled "An Ordin~nce to Readopt and Reconfirm the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by the Board of commi~sioners pf Richmond County and the , City Council of Augusta, together ~ith all amendments which have been approved by either the Board of commissioners of Richmond County or the city Council of Augusta as authorized under the Home Rule provisions of the Constitution of the state of Georgia" by changing the Comprehensive zoning Map from Zone R-2 'l. " (Two-family Residence) to Zone'B-1 (Neighborhood Business) affecting property located.on the northwest right-af-way line of Chafee Avenue, 219 feet, more or less, southwest of the southwest corner of the intersection of Walton Way and Chafee Avenue; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the Comprehensive zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-2 (Two-family Residence) to Zone B-1 (Neighborhood Business) affecting property as follows: Beginning at a point located on the northwest right-of~ way line of chafee Avenue, 219 feet, more or less, southwest of the southwest corner of the intersection of Walton Way and Chafee Avenue; thence, in a southwesterly direction along the northwest right-of-way line of Chafee Avenue a distance of 280.0 feet to a point; thence, in a northwesterly direction a distance of 222.0 feet to a point; thence, in a southwesterly direction a distance of '13 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northwesterly direction a distance of 118.0 feet to a point located on the southeast right-of-way line'of Moore ~venue; thence, in a northeasterly direction along the southeast right-of-way line of Moore Avenue a distance of 40.0 feet to a point; thence, in a southeasterly direction a distance of 137 feet, more or less, to a ""'~"" ~ . '- ~ -,' ~.t. .~ ' , point; thence, in a northeasterly direction a distance of 259 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southeasterly direction a distance of 154.0 feet to the point of beginning. This property contains approximately 1.45 acres and is the rear of 1556 Walton Way and also contains 916 Moore Avenue. SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Done in Open Meeting under the Common Seal thereof this /1~ day of a~~ APPROVED THIS , 1997.
