ORDINANCE NO. S93t.
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 6-6-47 OF THE
AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY CODE SO AS ~O REVISE
THE EFFECTIVE PERIOD FOR A "GOING OUT OF
BUSINESS" LICENSE; SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT A
BUSINESS MUST HAVE BEEN ESTABLISHED FOR AT
LEAST TWELVE MONTHS PRIOR TO ISSUANCE OF A
"GOING OUT OF BUSINESS" LICENSE; TO PROVIDE AN
EFFECTIVE DATE; TO REPEAL CONFLICTING
ORDINANCES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION
AND IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED BY THE AUTHORITY OF SAME AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Augusta-Richmond County Code, Title 6,
section 6-6-47(c) (2), to wit:
(2) Established business requisite. Any
person who has not been the owner of a
business advertised or described in the
application for a business tax certificate
hereunder for a period of at least six (6)
months prior to the date of the proposed sale
shall
not
be granted a
business
tax
certificate.
is hereby deleted in its entirety and the following substituted
therefor:

The Augusta-Richmond County Code, Title 6,
section 6-6-47(e) (1), to wit:

Sundays and legal holidays excluded, following
the issuance thereof.
