An Ordinanee to amend the Comprehensive zoninq Ordinance.
adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County
and the city Council of Augusta effective November 15,
1983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt and Reconfirm the
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by
the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the
City Council of Augusta, together with all amendments
which have been approved by either the Board of
commissioners of Richmond County or the city Council of
Augusta as authorized under the Home Rule provisions of
the Constitution of the state of Georgia" by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone B-1 (Neighborhood
Business) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting
property located on the northwest corner of the
intersection of Mike Padgett Highway and Lumpkin Road;
and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and
for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of
November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone B-1
(Neighborhood Business) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting
property as follows:
Beginning at a point located on the northwest corner of
the intersection of Mike Padgett Highway and Lumpkin
Road; thence, N 81020' W along the north right-of-way
line of Lumpkin Road a distance of 115 feet, more or
less, to a point located on the southeast right-of-way of
the Georgia & Florida railroad line; thence, N 22042' E
along the southeast right-of-way of the Georgia & Florida
railroad line a distance of 250 feet, more or less, to a
point located on the west right-of-way line of Mike
Padgett Highway; thence, S 02040' E along the west right-
of-way line of Mike Padgett Highway a distance of 259
feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. This
property contains .49 acres and is known under the
present numbering system as 2635 Mike Padgett Highway.

SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with
this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
