HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 5894 GREENE STREET Augusta Richmond GA DOCUMENT NAME: 0 - \ ~ ~l- '33G\L\ DOCUMENT TYPE: CJ(cJ\\{},,~ YEAR: C\l BOX NUMBER: rn FILE NUMBER: \ 6)Ql9C1 NUMBER OF PAGES: 0 ORDINANCE NO.~ An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta effective November 15, 1983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt and Reconfirm the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta, together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Board of commissioners of Richmond County or the City council of Augusta as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Constitution of the state of Georgia" by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-1C (One-family Residence) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property located on the southwest right-of-way line of Greene street, 224 feet, more or less, southeast of the southeast corner of the intersection of 5th street and Greene street; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-1C (One-family Residence) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property as follows: Beginning at a point located on the southwest right-of- way line of Greene street, 224 feet, more or less, southeast of the southeast corner of the intersection of 5th Street and Greene Street; thence, in a southeasterly direction along the southwest right-of-way line of Greene Street a distance of 56 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southwesterly direction a distance of 180 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northwesterly direction a distance of 56 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northeasterly direction a distance of 180 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. This property contains. 23 acres and is known under the present numbering system as 448 Greene Street. .' SECTION II. That this amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Map is subject to the following stipulation: 1) That the property shall be limited to ten (10) units; and 2) That parking for residents and visitors shall be in the rear, and the front shall be used for the public. SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Done in Open Meeting under the Common Seal thereof this day of , 1997.
