An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted
by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County' and the City Council
of Augusta effective November 15, 1983, entitled "An Ordinance to
Readopt and Reconfirm the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted
March 25, 1963, by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County
and the City Council of Augusta, by amending Section 25-B (Special Sign
Control Area) thereby allowing variance requests to be heard by the
Board of Zoning Appeals concerning the provisions In the SCA (Special
Sign Control Area) District.
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION-COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance is amended by deleting the
following from Section 25-B:
25-B- 7
Where there is alleged to be an error In the
administration or enforcement of this section,
appeals shall be taken pursuant to Section 33-5 (a),
but there shall be no variances granted to the
provisions of this Section.
SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances In conflict with this Ordinance are
hereby repealed.
