AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NOS. 5868 AND
5876 ESTABLISHING SEVERANCE COMPENSATION FOR
DISPLACED DEPARTMENT HEADS OF AUGUSTA-RICHMOND
COUNTY; TO PROVIDE AN EFFECTIVE DATE; TO
PROVIDE FOR REPEAL OF THIS ORDINANCE ON A DATE
CERTAIN; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION-
COUNCIL, AS SUCCESSOR TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF AUGUSTA, GEORGIA AND
THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF RICHMOND COUNTY, GEORGIA, AND IT IS
HEREBY ORDAINED BY AUTHORITY OF THE SAME AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Ordinance Nos. 5868 and 5876 establishing severance
compensation to be paid to eligible employees of Augusta-Richmond
County is hereby amended to include the following department head
as an eligible employee under this ordinance:
Robert L. Hayes, Daniel Field Manager
Section 2. All laws or ordinances or parts of laws or ordi-
nances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance is repealed as of January 1, 1997;
provided, however, such repeal shall not affect rights vested
hereunder.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective upon
adoption.
