An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive zoning Ordinance
adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County
and the city Council of Augusta effective November 15,
1983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt and Reconfirm the
Comprehensive zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by
the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the
city council of Augusta, together with all amendments
which have been approved by either the Board of
Commissioners of Richmond County or the city Council of
Augusta as authorized under the Home Rule provisions of
the Constitution of the state of Georgia" by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-1C (One-family
Residence) to Zone P-1 (professional) affecting property
located on the southwest right-of-way line of Laney-
Walker Boulevard, 240.0 feet southeast of the southeast
corner of the intersection of Mill street and Laney-
Walker Boulevard; and for the repeal of ordinances in
conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of
November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-1C (One-family
Residence) to Zone P-1 (Professional) affecting property as
follows:
Beginning at a point located on the southwest right-of-
way line of Laney-Walker Boulevard, 240.0 feet southeast
of the southeast corner of the intersection of Mill
Street and Laney-Walker Boulevard; thence, in a
southeasterly direction along the southwest right-of-way
line of Laney-Walker Boulevard a distance of 40.0 feet to
a point; thence, in a southwesterly direction a distance
o~ 204: 0 fee~ to a point; thence, in a northwesterly
d1rect1on a d1stance of 40.0 feet to a point; thence in
a northeasterly direction a distance of 205.0 feet to' the
point of beginning. This property contains .19 acres and
is known under the present numbering system as 1328
Laney-Walker Boulevard.
SECTION II. That this amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Map is
subject to the following stipulation:
That at such time as the professional use shall cease,
the zoning of the property shall revert to R-1C (One-
family Residence).
SECTION III.
All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
