An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted
by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council
of Augusta effective November 15, 1983, entitled II An Ordinance to
Readopt and Reconfirm the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted
March 25, 1963, by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County
and the City Council of Augusta, together with all amendments which
have been approved by either the Board of Commissioners of Richmond
County or the City Council of Augusta as authorized under the Home
Rule Provisions of the Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing
the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-3B (Multiple-family
Residence) and Zone LI (Light Industry} to Zone LI (Light Industry)
affecting property located on the south right-of-way line of Payton Road,
380 feet, more or less, east of the southeast corner of the intersection
of Mike Padgett Highway (Old Savannah Road) and Payton Road; and for
the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION-COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning. Ordinance adopted by the Board of
Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption
of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map
from Zone R-3B (Multiple-family Residence) and Zone LI (Light Industry) to Zone U
(Light Industry) affecting property as follows:
Beginning at a point located on the south right-of-way line of Payton
Road, 380 feet, more or less; east of the southeast corner of the
intersection of Mike Padgett Highw~y (Old Savannah Road) and Payton
Road; thence, in an easterly direction along the south right-of-way line
of Payton Road a distance of 447.80 feet to a point; thence, S
02046'23" W along the west right-of-way line of Payton Road a distance
of 820.78 feet to a point; thence, S 63035'01" W a distance of 182.11
feet to a point; thence, S 85018'49" W a distance of 256.49 feet to a
point; thence, N 04042' 17" W a distance of 199.19 feet to a point;
thence, N 03059'52" W a distance of 90.12 feet to a point; thence, N
04026'36" Wa distance of 90.01 feet to a point; thence, N 04008'34" .
E a distance of 564.02 feet to the point of beginning. This property
contains 9.30 acres.

SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are
hereby repealed.
