AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING
PARKING IN CERTAIN SPECIFIED ARES AND
DESIGNATED AREAS; TO PROVIDE FOR SUMMONS TO BE
ISSUED BY THE RICHMOND COUNTY SHERIFF'S
DEPARTMENT FOR VIOLATIONS; TO PROVIDE FOR
AMOUNT FOR VIOLATION BOND; TO PROVIDE FOR
~FORCEMENT; TO PROVIDE PENALTIES; TO PROVIDE
AN EFFECTIVE DATE; TO PROVIDE FOR REPEAL FOR
ALL OTHER ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY
COMMISSION-COUNCIL, AND rr IS HEREBY ORDAINED BY
AUTHORITY OF SAME AS FOLLOWS;
Section 1. Richmond County Code, Part II, Section 12-186
is hereby amended by striking subparagraph (d) (5) of Section 12-186
in its entirety, and substituting in lieu thereof a new
subparagraph to be known as Section 12-186(e) to read as follows:
" (e) Any person violatinc;J the provisions of
this section shall be subject to a monetary
fine as follows:
Improper parking
$ 20.00
Handicap Zone (O.C.G.A.
Section 40-6-225 and 226)
not less than
$100.00, and not
more than $500.00."
Section 2.
The ordinances of the City of Augusta are,
hereby amended by deleting Section 13 -132 in its entirety and
substituting in lieu thereof the following:
Any person violating the provisions of this

Section 3.
All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4.
This Ordinance shall be effective upon
adoption.
