An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance
adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County
and the city Council of Augusta effective November 15,
1983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt and Reconfirm the
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by
the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the
City Council of Augusta, together with all amendments
which have been approved by either the Board of
commissioners of Richmond County or the City Council of
Augusta as authorized under the Home Rule provisions of
the Constitution of the state of Georgia" by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture) to
Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property located
where the west right-of-way line of Peach Orchard Road
intersects the centerline of Collins Road extended; and
, for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for
other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
,~ Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of
November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing the'Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture)
to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property as follows:
Beginning at a point located where the we$t right-of-way
line of Peach Orchard Road intersects the centerline of
Collins Road extended; thence, S 03052' E along the west
right-of-way line of Peach Orchard Road a distance of 160
feet, more or less, to a point; thence, S 86008' W a
distance of 125 feet, more or less, to a point; thence,
N 03052' W a distance of 340 feet, more or less, to a
point; thence, N 86008' E a distance of 125 feet, more or
less, to a point located on the west right-of-way line of
Peach Orchard Road; thence, S 03052' E along the west
right-of-way line of Peach Orchard Road a distance of 180
feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. This
property contains approximately 1 acre and is known under
the common numbering system as 4953 Peach Orchard Road.

SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with
this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
