An Ordinance to amend the comprehensive zoning Ordinance
adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County
and the city Council of Augusta effective November 15,
1983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt and Reconfirm the
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by
the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the
city Council of Augusta, together with all amendments
which have been approved by either the Board of
Commissioners of Richmond County or the city council of
Augusta as authorized under the Home Rule provisions of
the Constitution of the state of Georgia" by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone B-1 (Neighborhood
Business) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting
property located on the southeast right-of-way line of
Highland Avenue, 120.0 feet southwest of a point where
the southwest right-of-way line of Parkway Drive
intersects the southeast right-of-way line of Highland
Avenue; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict
herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION-COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of
November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone B-1
(Neighborhood Business) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting
property as follows:
Beginning at a point located on the southeast right-of-
way line of Highland Avenue, 120.0 feet southwest of a
point where the southwest right-of-way line of Parkway
Drive intersects the southeast right-of-way line of
H~ghland Avenue; thence, in a southeasterly direction a
~1stance of 150 feet, more or less, to a point; thence,
1n a southwesterly direction a distance of 180 feet more
or ~ess, to a point; thence, in a northwesterly dir~ction
a d1stance of 150 feet, more or less, toa point located
on the southeast right-of-way line of Highland Avenue'
thence, in a northeasterly direction along the southeast
right-of-way line of Highland Avenue a distance of 186
feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. This
property contains approximately .63 acres and is known
under the present numbering system as 1904 Highland
Avenue.

SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with
this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
