An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance
adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County
and the city council of Augusta effective November 15,
1983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt and Reconfirm the
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by
the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the
city Council of AU9usta, together with all amendments
which have been approved by either the Board of
Commissioners of Richmond County or the City Council of
Augusta as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of
the Constitution of the state of Georgia" by changing the
Comprehensive zoning Map from Zone R-3C (Multiple-family
Residence) to Zone B-1 (Neighborhood Business) affecting
property located on the south~ast corner of the
intersection of Twiggs street and Laney-Walker Boulevard;
and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and
for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION-COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of
November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-3C (Multiple-
family Residence) to Zone B-1 (Neighborhood Business) affecting
property as follows:
Beginning at a point located on the southeast corner of
the intersection of Twiggs Street and Laney-Walker
Boulevard; thence, in an easterly direction along the
southwest right-of-way line of Laney-Walker Boulevard a
distance of 169 feet, more or less, to a point located on
the northwest right-of-way of the Georgia & Florida
Railroad line; thence, in a southwesterly direction along
the northwest right-of-way of the Georgia & Florida
Railroad line a distance of 525 feet, more or less, to a
point; thence, in a northwesterly direction a distance of
10 feet, more or less, to a point located on the
southeast right-of-way line of Twiggs Street; thence, in
a northerly direction along the southeast right-of-way
line of Twiggs Street a distance of 473 feet, more or
less, to the point of beginning. This property contains
approximately 1 acre.

SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with
day
this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
