RELEASE
WHEREAS, Carey, Johnson & Laschober Group, P.c. entered into a contract with the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County, Georgia, dated in October 17, 1988, as amended,
for the design of a Raw Water Treatment Facility, including a raw water intake and related raw
water lines; and
WHEREAS, the contract was mutually terminated by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County and Carey, Johnson & Laschober Group, P.c. prior to 1995; and
WHEREAS, no formal release was ever executed between the Board of Commissioners
of Richmond County and Carey, Johnson & Laschober Group, P. C. relating to the termination
of the project and the contract; and

WHEREAS, Carey, Johnson & Laschober Group, P.C. mal(es no further claim for

compensation for work previously perlarmed; and (
WHEREAS, Augusta, Georgia, desires to confirm for the record that all obligations of ____
Carey, Johnson & Laschober Group, P.c. have been met under the above referenced contract as
a result of the termination ofthe project by both parties;
NOW, THEREFORE, for and consideration of the promises herein contained, and other
good and valuab~e consideration, receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, each of the
undersigned parties hereby release and forever discharge, for itself, its successors and assigns, its
agents and employees, and all other persons, firms, and corporations, of and from any and all

claims, demands, rights, and causes of action of whatsoever kind and nature arising from, or by
reason of, work performed under the aforesaid contract.
