Subject: Personal Identification Numbers (PINs)
You have been designated by your agency to receive a Personal Identification
Number (PIN) for use in the Grants Management Information System. Your
functional use of the PIN is determined by what authority you currently have
within your agency with regard to the applying for, and accepting of, a
grant from FTA. Your PIN is 0809. PLEASE SAFEGUARD THIS INFORMATION.
You should have already received your GMIS UserId and Default Password for
access to the GMIS. If you have not received this information, please
notify the GMIS Help Desk at 888-443-5305.
To activate your PIN, please LOGIN to the GMIS and access the option for
Inquiring Codes and Tables. . Within this menu you wi II see an option that is
labeled: "ACTIVATE PIN". Place your cursor at this option and hit <ENTER>.
The next screen will prompt you to enter in the above stated PIN for
validation. If the validation process is successful, you will receive a
message "PIN successfully validated, hit CLEAR to continue". If you get a
message other than this, please notify the GMIS Help Desk.
If you have any questions, concerns, or problems with UserIds, Passwords or
PINs, please contact the GMIS Help Desk.

characters (cannot be all numbers or lettersr Also listed
is a four-digit grantee code assigned to your organization by
FTA. When accessing most screens in the GMIS you will need
to enter this code or a grant/project number.
