ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE 1945 PENSION PLAN; TO PROVIDE FOR SELECT
PENSIONERS TO RECEIVE A SUPPLEMENT TO THEIR RETIREMENT BENEFITS; TO
REPEAL ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH;
TO PROVIDE AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION AND IT IS
lIEREBY ORDAINED BY THE AUTHORITY OF SAME, THAT THE 1945 PENSION PLAN BE
AMENDED AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 3.13 (Supplemental Retirement Benefits) of the 1945 Pension Plan as set forth in
Ordinance No. 6990, enacted July 10,2007, is hereby amended and restated as set forth in "Exhibit A"
hereto.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective upon its adoption in accordance with applicable
laws.
SECTION 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

foregoing Ordinance was duly adopted by the Augusta-Richmond County Commission on
,2008 and that such Ordinance has not been modified or rescinded as of the
date hereof and the undersigned further certifies that attached hereto is a true copy of the
Ordinance which was proved and adopted in the foregoing meeting(s).

Exhibit A
Section 3.13 of Ordinance No. 6990 shall be amended by adding a sub-part "(c)" which reads as
follows:
Effective January 1, 2008, participants who retired prior to January 1, 1996
(and their Payees) shall receive, in addition to their normal retirement
benefit, a payment of two hundred fnty dollars ($250.00) per month until
their termination of participation in the Plan.
