Sponsored Event (AUGUSM-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISS1DN) 1. The geographic boundaries of First or Frequent Friday (FF) will run from 13th to 5th Streets and all cross streets from Reynolds to Greene Streets inclusively. Main Street Augusta, Inc. (MSA) will only be responsible and or liable for this physical area from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. the first or designated Friday of every month. -~ 2. All business operators and or property owners will have the option to have or not have vendors set up in front of their business or property. Owners of businesses within the prescribed district are allowed to move their merchandise out onto the sidewalk for sale during FF. Any other vendor must have permission to set up in front of a place of bu~iness or property. If the business operator or property owner does oot allow this placement, no person or group shall be allowed to set-up on the sidewalk in front of the business or building. Vendors and bands will be required to acquire said permission each month from the business operator or property owner. Any vendors placed in city medians must gave permission from the MSA Promotions committee. 3. All vendors are required to collect, report and ti~ely.pay sales tax on all revenues generated from taxable sales during each First or Frequent Friday event. 4. Vendor Requirements; a. The wares of all vendors will be approved by the MSA Promotions committee to ensure the product is appropriate for the event. b. All vendors must fill out an application for permission to set up. The applications should be filed with the MSA office between the hours of 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and will be received up until the day of the event. The MSA will then review the applications to ensure the applicants meet these guidelines. c. All vendors will pay a fee according to the vendor fee schedule set by the MSA Promotions committee. These fees will be used to offset the cost of extra security and other expenses incurred by MSA in hosting the FF event. 5. Food Vendors a. All food vendors will follow all of the aforementioned guidelines. b. Each food vendor will be required to have a Health Department inspection certificate, unless otherwise approved by the MSA Promotions committee. c. No food vendor will set up on the city right-of-way without permission of the city or MSA. " 1 ~,\ 6. Bands and Live Performances a. Bands, musical groups, individuals, or other performance related activities will be required to fill out an application at the MSA office and must be approved by the MSA Promotions committee. b. Each group will be assigned an area in which to perform unless otherwise given permission by a business/property owner and MSA is notified by the owner. 7. Nonprofit Organizations (501@3 and Political Organizations) a. Each organization will be required to fill out an application at the MSA office and the MSA.Promotions committ~e will review said application. b. If possible samples of literature and items to be distributed should be submitted with the application c. Organizations requiring space will be assigned spaces. These groups will not be charged a fee for said space. MSA has the right to refuse any vendor not meeting the criteria set forth here. MSA does not provide tables or electricity. All vendors must check in at the MSA table to receive final approval and a vendor certification that must be displayed at all times during the event. Neither the City nor MSA shall be liable for any acts, or actions taken or performed, or any failure to act regarding the event. Each vendor, organization, band, or other participant in such event shall be responsible for its own actions and by receiving a permit from MSA specifically acknowledges same and waive and releases any claim against MSA, the City and its officers, employees and elected officials.
