Declaration of State of Emergency
WHEREAS, Augusta-Richmond County, Georgia and its residents located at
2549 Deans Bridge Road have expericmced a loss of power, water and sewer due to a
breakdown in tho utilities system located at said address; and
'WHEREAS, the area has or may be subjected to loss of human life, personal
i~ury, and property damage due to said breakdown;
NOW THEREFORE in consideration of the protection of human life, prevention
of injuries, and to minimize property damage, I, Willie H. Mays, Ill, Mayor of the City of
Augusta, Georgia, also known as Augusta-Riohmond County, Georgia by virtue of the
power and authority of Georgia Emergency Management Act of 1981, Articles 1 through
3 (O.C.G.A. S 38-3-1, 01. seq. and spec.-ifically O,C,G.A. 9 38-3-2(a)(2)) do hereby
declare a State of Emergency in the vicinity of 2549 Deans Bridge Road, Augusta-
Richmond County, Georgia, and order County Officials to employ Emergency
Management Functions as necessary pursuant to Georgia Code,
