RE: Resolution designating check signers
Dear Chairman-Mayor Sconyers:
Due" to t'fi:eestablishment 'of the- "Augusfa'':::Richiil6hd" "'County' --
Commission-Council, we are required to update the resolution
designating check signers in connections with all Community
Development activities. We request Committee's approval to
designate George A. Patty as the Check Signer, the Chairman of the
Communi ty Development Committee as the Check Co-Signer, Sirena
Perkins-Rogers as the Alternate Check Signer, and the Vice-Chairman
of the Community Development Committee as the Alternate Check Co-
Signer.
In order to comply with the federal regulations, the attached
resolution is presented for approval.

A RESOLUTION DESIGNATlNG THE CHECK SIGNERS, CHECK CO-SIGNERS, AND
ALTERNATES IN CONNECTION WITH ALL COMMUNITY D,EVELOP.MENT ACTlVlTlES.
WHEREAS: In order to comply with the requirements of the Federal Govemment,
it is necessary that The Augusta-Richmond County Commission-Council designate check
signers, check co-signers and alternates for all documents wf1ere Federal Funds are
involved; and
WHEAREAS: Due to the enactment of the 1995 Georgia Law, Page 3648, wf1ich
established the newly organized consolidated government known as The Augusta-
Richmond County Commission-Council, it is necessary to replace those individuals
previously designated as check signers for the Community Development Department
with new appointees and to appoint members of the newly formed commission-council.
WHEAREAS: These appointees will be responsible for facilitating the financial
transactions' associated with Federal funds administered through the Community
- ..
Development Department for Community Development activities.
